Halo Code

We are excited and proud to announce that we have adopted The Halo Code, the UK’s first Black hair code. No Black employee should have to change their natural or protective hairstyle in order to thrive at work.

We hope that the Halo Code will move us one step closer to a world free from discrimination, where all Black members of our community have their identities fully recognised and celebrated.

What We Do

The Vine’s purpose is to essentially, but not exclusively, serve the community if Hyson Green, Forest Fields, New Basford.

This community is one of the most disadvantaged areas in Nottingham, with needs arising from very wide cultural diversity, high unemployment, lone parenting, low academic achievement, mental ill-health, asylum seekers & refugees, substance misuse, physical disability, ex and repeat offending and an elderly population.

Here at The Vine we host a variety of activities and programmes that you to get involved with such as Table Tennis, Sewing, Alcohol Awareness, Narcotics Awareness, Children’s Play Groups, and more!
