Dementia friendly

Physical exercise is as important to older people as it is to the younger population. It’s vital to maintain a certain level of fitness as you progress in age. However, as you get older, you may not move a lot without putting strain on your body. Chair exercises come in handy when you have limited mobility or find it hard to maintain your balance.‌

When you do chair exercises daily, you reduce the risk of falls. The movements increase blood flow and keep your joints active and lubricated. They also strengthen your muscles.

What We Do

The Vine’s purpose is to essentially, but not exclusively, serve the community if Hyson Green, Forest Fields, New Basford.

This community is one of the most disadvantaged areas in Nottingham, with needs arising from very wide cultural diversity, high unemployment, lone parenting, low academic achievement, mental ill-health, asylum seekers & refugees, substance misuse, physical disability, ex and repeat offending and an elderly population.

Here at The Vine we host a variety of activities and programmes that you to get involved with such as Table Tennis, Sewing, Alcohol Awareness, Narcotics Awareness, Children’s Play Groups, and more!
